I started this book a while ago and didn't get to finish it because I was healing from surgery. Oh! I am so glad I got to finish it.The setting is the perfect setting for rock star romances. It takes place in and around Hollywood California. It also is set as part of the rock community there from the beginning. I enjoyed that part because it actually explained how Meg got there instead of having a chance meeting.
The plot is hot...Burning hot. Each page sizzled. However, it was also emotional and hits my feeling just right. As someone who lost a sibling in a similar way as Meg did, Crystal Kaswell got the grieving process right. The grief wasn't thrown together and patched up but addresses it. I appreciate that more than I can say. The emotional backstories of these characters add to the plot and make it a work in perfection.
The oh so yummy characters made me fall in love with them. Meg or Megara (Love her name, by the way) is real. She has real problems like school and as I have mentioned real grief. She isn't a conventional beauty but definitely a beauty. Miles is mouth watering and like Meg, he's real. He may be a rock star but his problems are heartbreaking. I adored Kara. My sister's name is Kara so there was already an emotional attachment to the name but the character is bad ass in everything especially friendship and I must give a shout-out to Drew, Tom and Pete for the same thing. This is one of the few stories that there has been an emotional connection to the other characters in the book and not just the main.
I loved the book and I am looking forward to the rest of the series. Sing Your Heart Out has become one of my new favorite books and is on its way to becoming my new favorite series.

I'm at a loss for words! But I'll try my hardest to get my point across on how much I LOVED this book!
it was very steamy! it had quite a few sex scenes in it because the couple couldn't keep their hands off each other! They had so much chemistry!
Meg was a very likeable MC and you couldn't help but feel for her when she talked about the things she's lost.
Miles Miles Miles! oh my goodness! He is one hell of heartthrob! & he only has eyes for meg! he's very sweet but also cocky and it just makes me heart him even more! Book Boyfriend Material right here ladies lol!
I will defidently be reading the 2 & 3 books & im sure I'll be chewing at the bit for book 4 that comes out in May! I wanna give a HUGE thanks to the author for giving us amazing books to read! keep up the awesome work )
I love rockstar romance something about the forbidden love that almost always comes with one. Miles is hot and he knows it. But when he meets Kara she takes him down a notch or two. Miles thinks he can do this poor girl Kara a favor and give her an experience that she has never received before, He wants to give her a man like him. Hot rockstar that has had multiple women but she sees right through him. That is once she gets past her rushing heartbeat. Can she just have a fling with no feelings involved? And will that be all it is for Miles too? This time though something is different for Miles, he seems to actually care. But Kara is a busy woman what with work, school and just needing a break every now and then. Miles wants to help Kara out of her shell and help her experience life a little. Maybe on the dark side if he can convince her. I can't wait to read more and find out exactly becomes of these two. Love this story.
I got this from . I had read a book outside of the rock star books that Crystal writes. My sister raved about these books. I understand now why she loved them. I read all 8 that are out currently except I think the novella. This is the first book in the Sinful Serenade. Who does not love books about rock stars. This one is about Miles and he is the vocalist for the band. He meets Meg at a party her friend dragged her too. I think it is cute that he goes out of his way to make her blush. They kind of strike a bargain to be friends with benefits, but they set rules that neither of them can really stick too. They spend a lit of time fighting of course unless they are in bed together. So will Meg and Miles figure out their feeling or will just be another sad love song?
Neither Meg or Miles wants a relationship and Miles so a friends with benefits is the perfect set up. But, catching feelings isn’t a part of the arrangement. Everything about Miles makes it hard for Meg not to love and while Miles denies it Meg is the one woman who has broken through that harden exterior and changed everything he’s ever questioned about wanting a relationship. Sing Your Heart Out has emotion, angst, hot and steamy sex and it is one HECK of an intro into the Sinful Serenade series!
This was just okay. The subject of rock stars is always compelling for me and I had high hopes going in but I felt like the author could have done more with fleshing out the characters. Because that is kind of the idea here. These guys are supposed to be more than the stereotypical rock stars and the women who love them.
I just wish there would have been more actual story. This contained A LOT of sex scenes, which is appropriate, I suppose. But when the reader is skipping over yet another sex scene because it sounds a whole lot like the nine that came before it to get to an actual story, there's a problem.
The real issue I have with this book and the whole series is lack of editing. I don't know if anyone copy edited this book. I found nine editing errors in this book alone, and that was after I started keeping track. It's one thing to have editing issues in free books but when I am paying for something, simple spelling and grammar errors should be rare to nonexistent. I wouldn't mind reading the fourth book when it comes out but I don't want to have to edit it as I go. Until or unless this author cleans up the copy editing in her publications, I will have to pass on recommending this book or the series to anyone.
